C. is spending 14 days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strickland, and Judy. Mrs. Flossie Pittman has re turned to the home of Mr. and Mr. Coy Driver. Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Lewis were Saturday night supper guests of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson, and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Perry and children called on his cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Denton, of Rocky Mount Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wall and Lois visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Wall and boys Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Coy Driver and Mike called on Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Boyette of Glendale Sunday. Mrs. Dallie Perry of Bailey spent Saturday night with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Creech of Lucama called on his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Powell Creech, Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brannan of Smithfleld visited her mother, Mrs. Lena Hinton, during the weekend. Mrs. Violet Brown and girls vis ited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Brown, of Earpsboro. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hales of Raleigh were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hales and Judy. The Intermediate GA Study Course met with Mrs. Julia Creech. Mrs. Horace Hamm will teach the book. I There will be a Sunrise Service Sunday morning at 6:00. All are urged to crawl out and go. The Wakefield Home Demon stration Club met last week ip the home of Mrs. Annie Baker with 17 present. Mrs. Lonnie Pool is a new member. The president, Mrs. Annie Baker, opened the meeting and Mrs. Lala- Pulley gave the devotional. Mrs. Vera Rhodes re ported she had found an electric stove for the club. Mrs. D. R. Lucas and Mrs. Vera Rhodes were appointed to get the club yard cleaned. Mrs. Babson brought a real good program. Mrs. Baker, hostess, serv ed pound cake, pickles, ritz crack ers and corn puffs. We will meet at the club house on April 26, when our dress revue will be on. Be sure and make and wear your dress then. The County wide Revue will be April 12 in Ra leigh. Mrs. Myra Chamblee is in Rex Hospital with an injured back. Mrs. Vera Rhodes spent the weekend in Raleigh with Mrs. Rosa Browning. Mrs. Nubfcr Bolton visited Mrs. Stancey Gay during the weekend. The Rev. and Mrs. Hamm and girls were supper guests of the Jim Ingrams last Thursday night. Mrs. Vera Rhodes visited the W. L. Simpsons Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wood and Ter ry visited the Jim Rapers in Hampton, Va., last Sunday. Mrs. Raper is the former Betsy Simp son. A convict escaped Monday at noon on the Sterling Mitchell Road. There was a lot of excite ment, but they caught him in about three hours. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle Hicks of Raleigh visited our church Sunday night for services after which they visited the Rev. and Mrs. Hamm. Mr. and Mrs. Pink Williams had company from High Point. Dixie News Ml— Daisy Natron Mrs. Lucy Hinton is spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Graham Eatmon and daughter Frances of Raleigh. The BTU will meet at 7-00 and Sunday night service at 8:00, be ginning April 1. Every Tuesday night at 7:30 our preacher, A. D. Parrish, of Zebulon is teaching music.
